Thrown into the Landwehrkanal after her execution, the monument to Luxemburg now rises out of the water, which is a place of gathering and merriment, to remind the masses of Luxemburg’s fight against fascism. In the middle of the canal, the monument is no longer accessible or a site for human activity, only an object to be gazed upon.
